Bobby flay almost single handedly saved the jobs of thousands of employees and brought food Network back from bankruptcy, he didn’t collect a proper paycheck for two years straight, ran (directed, produced, wrote, and started in) over a dozen shows himself to take up the slack when there wasn’t money to support a proper line up. Donated MOST of the profits and his own income from his restaurants to help make food Networks ends meet, and continues to put most of his money into children’s and nutritional charities, he lives well, but considering his actual income, comparatively very simply. The ego is a persona he plays on TV. Gordon Ramsey comes from an abusive household, and credits his love for food to often not having enough to eat, his tough guy attitude is a reflection of a long period of his life spent around failing restaurants, and while it is exaggerated for TV, his anger tends to stem from compassion as he shows serious regret when the restaurants he supports fail. He has helped hundreds of restaurants, saved the livelyhoods of thousands, and changed the way the world views culinary arts culture These are two great men and great examples of what a celebrity should strive to be.
