TBH I think the most underappreciated part of A Goofy Movie
was when Powerline sees two random dudes who just
crash on his stage and he just rolls with it and doesn’t even miss a beat like
wow what an icon.
So i was showering and i had this idea for a heartfelt family movie. A washed up 40 year old gamer gets into a deal with the devil or something and whether he survives or not is a case of whether he wins or loses this one game of overwatch scheduled month from now. and this gamer, you see, cause hes a gamer, he has no friends, all his other gamer friends from his childhood got like wives and houses and jobs and hes just kind of still a gamer and he.. i dont know where but i think he gets a pack of 5 kids? maybe from like a chess club or some shit like that? and theyre all insufferable nerds. they cant play video games. and this man spends the whole month training them what a payload is, what’s each hero’s ult callout, who counters who etc etc. its kind of like school of rock. the game finally comes and the nasty surprise is one of the kids whos kind of troubled doesnt want to play. he picks genji and throws constantly (and he was their reinhardt) and they kind of get him to be the reinhardt on the second round. they win with one of those
heres a funny scene, for the movie, i just thought of
Gamer, excitedly: You! Whats your favorite video game character insufferable nerd: i-idont know… mom doesnt let me play video games.. im probably very very bad at them… i just play the violin and sing ope- gamer: (claps) Great! You’re our designated mercy
heather i hate this so much and really want it to happen
Many people who see this page out of context assume it’s an edit and it’s not. The best part is that this is the final page of an entire chapter. Fukumoto actually had the gall to use Uno as a device for a teasing cliffhanger.
Not only that but Kaiji is published in a weekly manga anthology called Young Magazine.
The Japanese audience for Kaiji had to wait an entire week to see if Kaiji was going to play high-stakes Uno.
@succyfunhouse got me to watch Kaiji and it’s fucking amazing
my strangest legacy - in high school, for one reason or another (I can’t remember) my friends and I wrote “34 days until March 2nd” on the whiteboard in the drama classroom. It was completely arbitrary but we kept it it up, “30 days until March 2nd” ”23 days until March 2nd” etc. It spread around enough that the entire school is buzzing about what is going to happen on March 2nd. We figure we should think of something and decide to bring in cake. There were about 13 of us in total committed to bringing a cake. On March 2nd, during 3rd period lunch we all entered the cafeteria in a line (the parade of the cakes) and laid them out—a grand cake buffet for everyone in that lunch period. We did it the next year. And after we graduated it kept going.
This past March 2nd was the 9th year they’ve done it. It’s become a school sponsored event. There are t-shirts for this thing every year. March 2nd is cake day. I am a god.
my former teacher sent me a package. it’s the 10th anniversary this year. they’re already getting ready for march 2nd. it’s january.
It’s this time of the year again :)
11th year this year. more than a decade of cake day
